WASHINGTON – – Congressman Steve King released the following statement after voting for H.R. 2009, the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013:

“The Obama administration’s attempts to label the recent IRS scandals as ‘phony’ is dishonest and dangerous,” said King. “The role of the IRS will expand even more as ObamaCare is implemented; nearly 50 different aspects of ObamaCare are now regulated by the IRS. This expansion of power comes as details are unfolding that the IRS has abused the American people’s trust. The IRS is transitioning to new leadership and recent polls have shown that the majority of Americans have a negative opinion of the agency.  Now is not the time to put Washington bureaucrats in charge of your health care. For years I have advocated the IRS be abolished and the FairTax, H.R. 25, should be enacted. My vote today is to stop the expansion of the IRS into our healthcare system.”

I’m beginning to like this guy – Is that Ollie behind him – Who took he picture Stan ?

“recent polls have shown that the majority of Americans have a negative opinion of the agency.” Hey Stevie, how about the recent polls that show the vast majority of Americans have a negative opinion of Congress?

@????-Hey Libraterd. Recent polls have shown that we all have a negative feeling about people like you. You time is coming to a end. Just my opinion.

????? – Someone had to take a poll to determine if Americans had a negative opinion regarding the IRS?
Given its long time mission to collect taxes did someone honestly expect a different outcome?
Sounds like just another poll taken to give a “journalist” an excuse to “make news”.

Bookie looks like Kings illegitimate son.

Rep. King is right on the money. The last thing we need is more of the IRS in our face.

Matt, I too think the picture of Mr. King with Bookmeyer is not becoming of Mr. King. They are not even close to the being in the same league.

Rep. King is a honest and up front politician. At least he is not a RINO (Republican In Name Only). Rep. King is working for the best interests of all Iowans.

I hope they get this IRS out of all our business.

This site is so transparent. Of all the hundreds of pictures of King out there, we always choose the one with his eyes shut???? Your bias is showing here. if you get the drift!!!
