Two-vehicle accident reported Monday in Mason City

MASON CITY – Around 2:20 pm Monday afternoon, the Mason City Fire Department responded to report of a two vehicle accident with a possible injury at 6th Street SE and South Delaware Ave.

At the scene, there was no transport by ambulance. Two vehicles were moved into the Hardee’s parking lot to get out of way of traffic.

Neither car involved in the accident was from Cerro Gordo County. A Pontiac was from Floyd County and a Chevy was from Mitchell County.

Mason City Police were taking reports at the scene.

It wasnt an intersection!! It was the Chevy decided to turn from the right lane and cut off the cadillac who was in the left. Jeez you would think if you are writing a story know the facts.

that first car is a cadillac and not a pontiac

When driving through this intersection I always wonder when there will be an accident. It’s a bad intersection because of the building blocking your view if your going south or east.
