JUMEIRAH, United Arab Emirates, March 31 (UPI) — Police in the United Arab Emirates arrested a woman who allegedly buried her dead newborn girl at the Jumeirah Open Beach.
The mother, identified as J.A.J., along with her boyfriend, who remains at large, buried the child at the beach Jan. 2, one day after she delivered the baby, Gulf News reported.
The medical report said J.A.J. delivered the baby when she was 32 weeks pregnant.
Officials have accused the woman of having sex out of wedlock, endangering the life of her baby by not feeding her or providing proper medical care and disposing of the body without permission from the authorities.
The body of the baby was found dead Saturday, and the mother has been referred to a Dubia Court.
