Civil rights display coming to Mason City library

MASON CITY – On Monday, February 11, 2013, Tenika Johnson, Historian at the African American Museum of Iowa located in Cedar Rapids, will present a free program for adults on the history of the Civil Rights Movement in Iowa. The program will be held at 6:30pm in the library classroom adjacent to the Library Commons.

The museum is also providing a traveling exhibit on Iowa Civil Rights which will be on display in the reading room of the library adjacent to the Main Circulation Desk. This will remain on display during Black History Month from February 11 to February 21, 2013.
