Charles City, Iowa – For the fourth consecutive year, Charles City radio stations KCHA AM & FM will host the Charles City Rotary Radio Auction. The auction will air live on 95-9 KCHA, Fabulous 1580 AM and local cable access channel 4 on Saturday, Feb. 2, 9 a.m. – noon.
Area businesses have generously donated numerous items including restaurant gift certificates, an X-Box Kinect gaming system, a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet, 100 pounds of steel, 4 tickets to the Iowa Speedway and many more items. All items can be viewed on the radio station website at kchafm.com.
Each item will be sold to the highest bidder. Bids will be accepted by phone only. To place bids, call the radio station at 641-228-1000 during the auction hours.
In 2012, the Charles City Rotary Radio Auction raised close to $6,000 for local and regional projects.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Charles City Rotary, which in turn makes contributions to local, nationally and international projects.
Auction purchases are encouraged to be paid for and picked up the day of the auction until 5pm at The Rustic Corner, 413 North Main Street in Charles City.
