MASON CITY – North Iowa law enforcement agencies worked together to crack a vandalism case Friday.
According to a report, Mason City Police were dispatched on Sunday to the Laser Wash at 500 1st St NW in Mason City. Police said the business had been vandalized and some items were taken. Mason City police, assisted at the scene by Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office and the Clear Lake Police Department, were able to make an arrest in the case.
Chad Arlin Wolfe, age 37 of Clear Lake, was arrested and charged with: 2nd degree Criminal Mischief, a class D Felony, which is punishable by up to 5 years in prison; Possession of Burglar tools, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to 2 years in prison; Possession of Marijuana, a Serious Misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in jail; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to 30 days in jail.
Wolfe was held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Laser Wash appeared to be open for business Saturday and there was no visible indications of damage to the establishment.
