Is it just me or does it seem that with all of these tax increases, single mothers on welfare will have more income than those of us who work hard for our money? Why is it so hard to get ahead in this country?!?!
the main reason it is so hard to get ahead is because employers are greedy. The pay themselves outlandish salaries and pay their workers peanuts. A fair days work for a fair days pay (union motto) is a thing of the past. If they can get people to do it for $10 an hour when they could afford to pay $20 and the job is worth $20…it’s a no brainer to them. Workers need to band together and start standing up for themselves. A national strike day would go along way in raising wages. The problem there is that scabs would be on that like stink on s**t.
Well I poor as a church mouse and work hard for everything I have but I for sure didn’t vote for Obama. He has taken this country for a joy ride with all his vacations 19 the first term and already 1 before his second term starts. Letting his wife stick her noise in the school lunch programs really was upsetting. I work in Education all my life and most kids that was there only decent meal of the day. Anyway it will be interesting to see where our country ends up when he is done with his second term. I still can’t figure how 1 man can make a whole country buy insurance if they can’t afford it ! and fine them if they don’t buy some ? Hold on for the bumpy ride America

Yes, hence the reply of a Democratic Rep Serrano (NY) reintroducing the resolution to repeal the 22nd Amendment, indicationg that maybe . . . just maybe the “paranoia” isn’t so crazy.

It is more than 2% increase on the payroll tax, there is another 3.8% tax for Obamacare that everyone will pay.
This additional tax was one of the things that Nancy Pelosi found after she said, “we have to pass this bill so we can see what’s in it.”

Actually, theCongress chose not to extend the payroll tax holiday that was enacted in 2010 that TEMPORARILY lowered the payroll tax. You’re back where you were 2 years go.
@Anonymous, I understand the 2% tax holiday that was not extended. But, during the campain, the president told everyone that their taxes were not going to go up if you earned less than $250,000 when in fact they were already going to go up by 3.8% percent with the “hidden Obamacare tax alone.” And we are just starting with the Taxes with Obamacare, it gets worse.
He mislead the voters, the uninformed voted for him and when they see their pay check this week and next they will find out they were duped thinking that the “Rich” were going to get hammered but not them.
John if you followed the fiscal cliff fiasco from the start you would have known your payroll tax was going to go back to pre2010 rates. That had been talked about for quite sometime
