MASON CITY – A Mason City man wanted on a warrant was apprehended by Mason City police Friday in the early morning hours.
Jeffrey John Hargis, 43, lead police on a “short foot pursuit” before being caught near 915 North Federal Avenue Friday at about 12:40 AM. Hargis was charged with interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.
Hargis had been free on pre-trial release in connection with a 3rd degree theft case where he had tried to steal from Kum & Go central last November.
Hargis is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time on $2,000 cash-only bond.
He just got out only to go back again. He belongs in prision not county! He is a waste of space and air. He hurts everything that he touches or comes in contact with. I feel sorry for his family and children!
9th street and North Federal again. We should just bulldoze down the whole damn street. It is where all the rejects seem to hang out. Or at leats enough of them.
I’ll take a wild guess and say this character been chased by copz before!
