WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Obama says that it’s time for Congress to pass the middle class tax cuts for 98 percent of all Americans. Both parties agree that this will give 98 percent of families and 97 percent of small businesses the certainty that will lead to growth, and so there is no reason to wait. On Tuesday, the American people voted for compromise and action, and the President calls on Congress to come together in that spirit to help create jobs and strengthen our economy.

Here are some facts-the democrats and republicans want to extend the middle class tax cuts. the republicans also want to extend the tax cuts for the upper class. Only extending the middle class tax cuts really isn’t a compromise by the democrats. A compromise would be to extend all the middle class tax cuts and then a portion of the upper class tax cuts. Also maybe get rid of some of the loop holes the corporations use to get out of paying taxes. that would be really progressive action. Until we see some of that it is politics as usual, but I guess we should expect that, after all we voted in the same president and congress who have been in gridlock the last 2 years.
@Just the Facts-you know, we really do not need that kind of comment. I didn’t vote for him either but a lot of people did and he is our president. If you don’t have respect for him at least have respect for the office.
In other words, this guy is NOT just full of hot air. Isn’t it refreshing that a president is actually keeping his promises to us?
Be the first time for Sambo !
