Mason City man who injured officers now charged with domestic assault

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who plead guilty just this past August to injuring police officers had now been charged with another violent crime.

Police said today that Terry Raymond Mcknight, 29, was arrested October 3rd at 5:27 am at 1419 N Federal Avenue and charged with public intoxication, false imprisonment (710.7) and serious domestic assault (708.2A (2B)), both serious misdemeanors.

McKnight was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail later Wednesday morning and is still being held there.

McKnight plead guilty on August 27th to interference with official acts causing bodily injuring after an incident last May 30th involving the Mason City Police Department.  He was given a $625 fine and 10 days in jail by Judge Gerald Magee.

McKnight also plead guilty on February 3rd, 2012 to a charge of public intoxication brought by the Mason City Police Department and got 1 day in jail.
