Nick Heynen, The Wisconsin State Journal –

A 21-year-old man was arrested Friday after allegedly pointing a handgun at a car full of children on a highway in Janesville.

The incident happened in Highway 26 just before 10 p.m., according to a news release from the Janesville Police Department. The victim, a Milton man, was taking his child and friends to a sleepover at a home in Janesville, police said.

Police said they stopped and arrested Kyle G. Kliver, of rural Janesville, after getting his description from the victim. Kliver reportedly had two semiautomatic handguns and a billy club in his vehicle. Police said Kliver admitted to the accusation when police interviewed him.

Kliver was booked into Rock County Jail and is tentatively charged with 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.
