Washington, DC- Congressman Steve King released the following statement today after the Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded a grant to construct a new airport in Sioux Center, Iowa:
“I have been a long time supporter of the Sioux County Regional Airport and the DOT’s announcement today helps move us another step closer to completing this new airport facility,” said King. “This airport will promote economic development in the region, attract new businesses and expand opportunities for the surrounding communities. I commend Sioux County, Sioux Center and Orange City for their hard work, determination and cooperation to help make this project a reality. “
