CLEAR LAKE – Clear Lake City Hall has confirmed that despite a message that went out to some Clear Lake residents, there was no water main break.
“It was a false alarm,” City Hall said Tuesday at 11:40 AM. “We are going to try to put out another message letting folks know that.”
A Clear Lake resident informed NIT about the situation, saying that the message she got said that Clear Lake residents should refrain from using water until the main is fixed.
“The water main break in Clear Lake has been repaired and the water tower levels have been restored.” Doesn’t make it sound like a false alarm. 😉
Still no message about the false alarm.
Perhaps they first thought is was worse than it turned out to be when they got to fixin’ it. At any rate – we know the CodeRed notifications get out, and some paid attention to them.
There was a water line break at the corner of 3rd Ave N and N 6th St.
