HAMPTON – Hampton residents spoke out Tuesday night on a councilman some feel should resign.
Former Hampton City Councilman Bill Hodge and former Hampton Mayor Diane Weldin (pictured at podium) addressed the Hampton City Council regarding Ryan Stock, 36, who was charged with 3rd degree harassment (708.7(4)) on May 24, 2012. The charge was filed after an alleged incident on the same day. Stock then plead guilty on May 25th and was given a $150 fine.
In 2010, Stock (pictured, second from left) was charged with violating a Hampton city code (HA/41.12) which prohibits “possible use or explode fireworks in city limits.”

Check out Iowa Code 66. You may be surprised that you can oust them.
As far as I’m concerned, get a notebook and just start getting signatures. If enough people join in and we get a bunch of people to sign then the councils cant ignore us. Its time to step up people in EVERY TOWN…..HAMPTON TO MASON CITY AND BEYOND
MAYBE MASON CITY SHOULD DO THIS TO GET BETTER POLICE AND OFFICIALS
How would you go about printing up some petitions or something along those lines? Is that something that would work? I would volenteer my ass off trying to get names on a petition to oust these lazy, corupt so called public officials. Not all, but surely some.
Hey that’s a good idea. get it started, I’ll sign, oh wait, there is no recall provision in Iowa. That pesty State Statutue might slow down your attempt to oust the Mayor of Mason City for what exactly??? Because Peter Children heard from someone’s anonymous friend’s cousin, that the Mayor had a beer at dinner. Yeah, sounds like a plan guys.
