MCPD arrest two men for tresspassing

MASON CITY – Mason City police responded to an alarm at Alliant Energy in the 600 block of 15th Street SE shortly after 4 AM today.  As officers were checking the business, they found two men trespassing on the Iowa Traction Railroad tracks directly east of the compound.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the men has also trespassed at the Alliant property.

Jeremy Nicholas Mulford, 32, of Bradford, Iowa and Ozzy Robert Degroote, 25, of Maxwell, Iowa were both arrested and jailed on two counts of criminal trespass, a simple misdemeanor.

they weren’t stealing just scoping it out for future endevers………

I highly doubt they were stealing anything. Ozzy is a decent guy. Not that I know him inside and out, but what exactly is there to steal on railroad or alliant property…..and he doesn’t do drugs, so maybe they were actually just walking instead of driving drunk or something. Anyone ever think of that?

Sounds reasonable. I’m sure this was just a big conspiracy against them made up by “the man”. The PD normally arrests people for simply walking in this city. Seen it a hundred times. Geez.

Exactly! One of the best baseball players around and threw it all away for drugs. Waste of life and talent!

There must be nothing left in Bradford and Maxwell to steal. Thats a long drive for nothing, then get arrested. Good job, PD.
