From the Winnebago County Emergency Notification Network:
The FCPD is investigating a possible attempted abduction of a 10 yr old boy. The incident happened between 1230pm and 1:00pm on Wed. March 14th. The boy was approached by an Asian male approximately 50 yrs old w/ a thin face. The suspect was driving an older gray van, possibly bearing Iowa license plates. The suspect tried to lure the boy in his after asking directions to a church. The boy gave him directions to the church but the suspect stated he did not understand him & asked him to get into his van and show him. The boy’s mother the ncame out of the house & volunteered to show the man where the church was. She drove to the church w/ her own vehicle, the suspect followed the boy’s mother to the church but did not stop at the church & immediately drove off.
