Chicago Police: Man took pictures of victims in home invasion

Chicago Tribune –

Chicago police say a man duct-taped the hands, mouths and eyes of two people during a home invasion Saturday morning and then took pictures of them.

The department issued an alert about the crime Saturday night, saying one person “made entry” to an apartment on the 3000 block of North Sawyer Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood about 6:15 a.m. and restrained two people inside with tape.

The man ransacked the Northwest Side apartment and took jewelry and money, police said.

He’s described as a black man in his 30s who wore a black knit cap, blue jacket with white stripes, wore a black backpack, weighed about 180 pounds and was about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He appeared to be in his 30s, police said.
