Florida man arrested, had “makings of an ecstasy lab” inside his car

Dallas S. Keen, 22, of Ocala is in the Marion County Jail to face one count of possession of pre cursor chemicals to manufacture DMT (N, N-Dimethyltryptamine) and one count of resisting arrest without violence. His bond amount is $100,500. Keen was arrested by members of both the Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Team (MADET) and High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA). The arrest happened just after 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Keen’s home, 3450 SW 19th Place, Ocala.

Drug agents found all the makings of an ecstasy lab inside Keen’s car. The agents found numerous chemicals, glass beakers and contraband that could be utilized to manufacture illicit drugs. Plus, agents found $1,398.

Inside Keen’s home, agent located a manufacturing process with a five gallon bucket with water, a heating element and a Petri dish with something growing it. “Keen told agents it (Petri dish) was his failed attempt to manufacture Psychedelic mushroom,” said Judge Cochran, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer. Also, inside the home, agents found marijuana, digital scales and packaging materials.

Keen was handcuffed while speaking to agents. At one point, Keen bolted in an attempted escape. Keen was captured.
