BEIJING … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced On December 15th, 2011 that it has received two awards for its efforts in sustainability reporting and corporate citizenship in China. The awards were presented in Beijing in December.
The China Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD) and China WTO Tribune magazine jointly honored Eaton along with five other multinationals for releasing an “Excellent CSR Report in China” to disclose their corporate responsibility results for 2010. The award is based on a comprehensive CSR reporting assessment system, which aims to analyze and assess CSR reports from their integrity, reliability, readability, comparability, creativity and sustainability.
In addition, the China Corporate Citizenship Committee recognized Eaton as an “Excellent Corporate Citizen in China” for the third consecutive year. Eaton joined the ranks of other 52 international and local companies in a two-month screening process conducted by a leading expert judge panel.

Eaton has received five awards in corporate citizenship and sustainability in China this year, resulting in a total of 25 awards for responsible business practices since 2008 in the region. The other three awards Eaton has won earlier this year include：
“Excellent CSR Case Award” in green power management solution by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (SAEFI)；
“2011 Outstanding Enterprises in Social Responsibility in China” and “2011 Special Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility” jointly conferred by China Enterprise News and China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI).
