Help children receive a Christmas gift today at Willlowbrook Mall

MASON CITY – The public is invited to Willowbrook Mall today (Saturday, November 19th) to help children less fortunate receive a Christmas Gift. A Christmas Tree will be decorated with names of 150 local childrens’ names, everyone is encouraged to select a name hanging from the tree & purchase a gift for the child. Ages range from unborn to age 12. Cash donations are accepted as well. The names will remain on the tree located at Willbowbrook Mall until December 12th. Unwrapped gifts can be brought back to Willowbrook Mall (Matt you should verify this drop off info) & they will be wrapped and distributed before the Holiday to families unable to afford gifts this year.

The event on Saturday will also have a table designated for donations to the Hawkeye Food Bank. Nonperishable food items may be dropped off & cash donations will also be taken for the food bank.

The Angel Tree event was created 5 years ago by the late Dixie McCoy. Sponsors of the event include businesses located in Willowbrook Mall. Brown’s Shoes, Emersons at the Willows, CP’s Scrapbooking and Lori’s Creative Imaging.
