Let’s gets things straight right from the start. Now that this shining light sits in our downtown all dressed up for the next one hundred years, with people starting to come from all four corners of the earth to bow before her and pay homage just as Frank Lloyd Wright expected them to, lets not forget just who and what made it all possible.
That person was Max Weaver and it was his wiliness to vote to bring the measure back and with it offer what amounted to a “Plan B” that he structured that made this edifice come to life. Without Max Weaver it would not be there unless someone financed it privately and we all know that would never happen, not to the tune of twenty-million it wouldn’t.
How quickly we forget that central person who brought the project back to the table and that person was a single individual named Max Weaver. Congratulations and thank you Mr. Weaver. Lets all remember that when we walk through those front doors.
