MASON CITY – On Sunday morning October 9th at about 12:14 a.m., witnesses reported seeing at least two people engaged in a physical altercation outside the Alley Katz Bar located at 1341 North Federal Avenue.
According to witnesses, a subject involved pulled out a handgun and fired.
Immediately after the shot occurred, the people involved as well as several patrons hanging around outside the bar dispersed.
Officers arrived moments later and found where the physical altercation had likely occurred.
No injuries were reported to the Mason City Police Department as a result of the incident.
