Beginning Monday August 1, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. (weather permitting), the Mason City Utility Division will begin Water System repairs at Highway 122 East and South Virginia Avenue.
US Highway 122 East will be reduced to one lane traffic eastbound and one lane traffic westbound at the intersection of South Virginia Avenue. All efforts will be made to keep South Virginia Avenue open.
The projected time for repairs is expected to be approximately 3 to 4 days.
Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone.
