The Mason City School District was notified on July 15, 2011 by the Iowa Department of Education, that our district has been awarded $500,000 through a Harkin construction grant award. An award was reverted back to the state for 2010-2011 construction grants and Mason City School District applied for these funds through the 2010-11 Iowa Demonstration Construction Grant Program (IDCGP) earlier this year. The reverted grant funds will fill the requested amount of $500,000 for Mason City CSD’s $9,000,000+ construction projects.
