At approximately 12:40 Monday afternoon a call of a motorcycle accident on Highway 106 and Killdeer was called in. Later, it was changed to a Moped.

The victim thought he was out of gas, slowed down and pulled over on the shoulder. He lost control and slid on his left side giving him minor abrasions on his left side. He also had a head injury. The paramedics wrapped his head and put on a neck collar. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
The accident was assisted by Iowa State Troopers and Clear Lake Rescue.
