A once car accident in Franklin county on Interstate 35 near the 164.4 mile marker left two children injured.
Taralyne Johnson, 27, of Hampton was north bound on I-35 at 6:34 PM on February 13th when she lost control of her 1999 Chevy. According to the Iowa State PAtrol report, Johnson made an evasive maneuver for an “unknown reason (she may have dozed off but she is not sure).” Her vehicle then began to rotate clockwise, entered the east ditch, rolled and came to rest facing southwest on its wheels. The vehicle was severely damaged.
Johnson and a child in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts and a second child was fastened into a booster seat with a seatbelt on as well. The two children were injured but the extent of the injuries was not described in the report.
