Alternative education helps at-risk students stay in school by creating engaging classrooms and making accommodations for the students. Osage alternative high-school students Mike Schenker, Chance Refflagle, Tara North, and Amanda Smith met with State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City at the Statehouse on February 14 to advocate for fewer cuts in education spending.
