Jordan Gross of Osage, a medical student at the University of Iowa, met with State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City on Monday, February 7, to discuss ways to make medical school more affordable and encourage graduating medical students to stay in Iowa. Senator Ragan is encouraging new doctors to start their practices in Iowa, especially in rural areas and small communities. Iowa is nationally recognized as a place where citizens receive high quality health care and as the nation’s leader in health care for children. |
