Mason City police officers were dispatched to Kum N Go, 418 S Federal Avenue, on a report of an adult male detained for shoplifting. The 60 year old subject, Steven Stotts, was transported to the county jail for the offense. Stotts was charged with 3rd degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor.
