Sources tell NorthIowaToday.com that new real estate development could be coming to the vacant land near the Village Cooperative, which is located at 275 North Taft in Mason city.
The rumor out there is that three 4-plexes are being considered for construction in the vacant land next to the senior housing complex. Village Cooperative just had its grand opening in November.
NorthIowaToday.com spoke to a worker at Village Cooperative who told us “there were some surveyors out around the building for the last 2 days, but the parent company of the Co-op owns the other 17 acres of that land around the building and they do run things like that.”
NorthIowaToday.com also spoke to a resident at Village Cooperative who confirmed that surveyors have been checking the vacant land adjacent to the Village Cooperative, but the resident hadn’t heard anything about a new real estate development.
