Just finished skipping throught the Glob’s year in review. Noticed them dragging Max and the council and the strip–r club in this section. Noticed the Fairgrounds and Wanda Kruse. Noticed the infamous billboard downtown. Noticed bed bugs across the United States in this section, BUT coincidentally nothing regarding Cerro Gordo County Supervisor’s again!!
I think if Wanda, Max, the Tea Party and bed bugs were important, than maybe the controversy surrounding the Juvenile Detention Center assignment from the County, the denial of allowing Eldora Juvenile Detention representative’s the opportunity to be on the weekly Supervisor meeting agenda, Chairman of the Juvenile Detention Center Board in Waterloo-Bob Amosson–a sitting Cerro Gordo Supervisor’s “impartial” decision and the fact he was in an election at the time, should have made it also. Was Bob Amosson’s part not as worthy as the others?
How can the citizen’s of Cerro Gordo County not recognize what’s going on?
I pondered this question many times. Simple answer really.
They never get written about. You know–“THE POWER OF THE PEN” or in John Skipper’s case the pen runs out of ink before the rest of the story gets told!
Never televised and alway’s when most working people can’t attend.
The Juvenile Detention situation–and especially the way it was handled–would have been all over the front page if Max had anything to do with it. But it was a Supervisor. They fly under the radar and kiss up to John Skipper regularly.
That’s what Cerro Gordo County Supervisor’s are all about–staying under the “radar” of the people.
