Harassment, theft, other calls for help keeping cops busy at Autumn Park apartments

Mason City Police officers responded to at least nine requests for help

MASON CITY – Mason City Police officers responded to at least nine requests for help over the last week from the Autumn Park Apartments at 710 South Pierce Ave.

Calls due to harassment, theft and welfare checks were the main reason officers visited the apartment complex,which sits just north and west of Big Blue along South Pierce Avenue.

The following is a rundown of calls to police from the Autumn Park Apartments over the last week or so:

– Harassment call reported: 12-23-2010 at 2:36 AM. Officers responded to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 for a welfare check. Subject arrested for an incident that occurred earlier in the night.

– Other call reported: 12-23-2010 at 1:25 AM. Officers dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 to speak with subject about an issue she was having with her payee. Upon investigation, officers found that subject had been harrassing her payee.

– Theft call reported: 12-20-2010 at 10:05 PM. Officer went to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 for a talk to about possible theft. Officer spoke with the complainant again and she advised that it was a miscalculation and that everything was fine.

– Welfare Check Reported: 12-20-2010 at 11:43 AM. Officers were dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 to do a welfare check on subject.† Officers talked with subject who did not want our help and was uncooperative.† Subject appeared to be fine and said that she was not a danger to herself.

– Harassment call reported: 12-20-2010 at 2:28 AM. Officer dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 105 for a standby while the apartment manager gave subject a verbal warning before written. Subject was calling the apartment manager several times, in late hours of the night, caller wanted the calls to stop. Caller will call back if the problem still persists. Subject was advised of the complaint and warned.

– Welfare Check Reported: 12-19-2010 at 10:54 PM. Officers dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 for a welfare check on subject. Subject stated that she was fine and does need any help from law enforcement.

– Harassment call reported: 12-19-2010 at 10:00 PM. Officers dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 228. Complainant reported the subject sent her numerous text messages in regards to money being owed. Complainant requested the subject be told not to contact her. Subject was advised to not have anymore contact with the complainant or she could be charged.

– Harassment call reported: 12-19-2010 at 1:29 PM. Officers dispatched to 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111. Spoke to caller about a civil issue.

– Welfare Check Reported: 12-17-2010 at 8:30 PM. Officers completed a welfare check at 710 Pierce Av S APT. 111 on a female subject at the request of her father. The female subject was fine and officer advised the father.
