City Council in Mason City will take up the issue of closing Birch Drive in Mason City at Tuesday, December 21st meeting. City Councilman Scott Tornquist is requesting approval to close Birch Drive between Illinois Ave. and Highway 122 “as soon as possible” and to be re-opened to regular traffic on April 1, 2011.
In light of its bad condition, and the recent fatality on that stretch of road, should Birch Drive be closed?
