On November 9, 2010, The Mason City Police Department arrested Wanda Jean Kruse (51) of Rockwell, Iowa for theft 2nd degree by misappropriation of funds.
The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Mason City Police Department and members of the North Iowa Fair Board into the Fair Associations accounts and purchases under the direction of former fair manager Wanda Jean Kruse.
Investigators found Mrs. Kruse was in possession of approximately $3103.21 worth of property at her residence in Rockwell, IA that was purchased with North Iowa Fair Association funds.
Theft 2nd degre by misappropriation of funds is a class D felony that is punishable by up to 5 years in prison and $7500.00 in fines.
