Decent, dry weather has allowed paving to begin between State and 2nd Street.
Wicks Construction will be continuing on the light pole bases this week.
The latest update posted on the City’s website states:
“McKiness Excavating plans to install the storm sewer system in the plaza this week. The rock base will be placed on Federal Avenue between State and 2nd Street. If everything goes as planned, concrete paving will begin by mid week. The other crew will continue working on watermain installation starting from 4th Street and working to the South.
Wicks Construction will be continuing on the light pole bases this week. Work will be done between State and 2nd Street. Wicks will be beginning fine grading work and paving by the end of the week.
Electrical conduit is being installed to all of the light pole bases. They will be concentrating their work on
the area between State and 1st Street.
Concrete work is expected to begin this week. There will be multiple coordination efforts required while this work is completed. Coordination will be primarily when sidewalk work is being performed in front of properties.”
The project will not likely be completed until Spring 2011.
