MCPD Respond to Email Scam

Mason City Police were alerted to a possible email scam this week. The caller stated that she received an email from her paster, stating that she was out of the county and needed money. The caller informed officers that she knew it was a scam because her paster was at the church teaching a class. Officers advised the caller to contact her paster and other members of the church to let them know of the scam. |
