MASON CITY – Despite rainy and cold temps, the Elmwood-St. Joseph Municipal Cemetery Guided History Walk was well-attended. Coffee and snacks were made available to those who attended.
Participants gathered in the large Mason City cemetery to go on 80 minute guided tours. The tours included costumed characters reminiscent of Mason City’s past. Information during the tours included interesting facts about some of the people buried at the cemetery. For example, one character portrayed was Corey Currie. Currie was the founder of the present-day Curries Door Company.
