Thursday, Kim Reynolds said it was time to pass a bill in Iowa that defines what exactly a woman is. Iowa would define a woman this way: “A ‘female’ is a person whose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova and a ‘male’ is a person whose biological reproductive system is developed to fertilize the ova of a female.”

DES MOINES — Republicans in the Iowa House introduced a bill seeking to eliminate gender identity from the Iowa Civil Rights Act, but it died in a committee with legislators voting 0-3 to kill the bill.

DES MOINES – Kim Reynolds and her Republican comrades in the Iowa Legislature are not satisfied with how Area Education Agencies provide services to needy Iowa kids and are looking to overhaul and consolidate the system, and Mason City’s Representative, Sharon Steckman, is warning their bills “will hurt kids.”

MASON CITY – Today, Carl Ginapp announced his candidacy for the District Three Cerro Gordo County Supervisor Seat. Ginapp, a Republican, will be a first time candidate for this position.

DES MOINES – The President of the Iowa Board of Regents is leaving the board entirely soon, he announced this week.

CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake woman who was actively seeking office has decided not to run for Iowa Senate this year, citing an unfavorable environment for “working women with young kids.”
