On April 30, CBP officers at Camino Real International Bridge II referred a vehicle driven by Silviano Garcia, 57, a Mexican citizen, for a secondary examination. Once in secondary, biometric verification confirmed his identity along with an active felony arrest warrant for indecency with a child and fondling, from Dallas County Sheriff’s Office in Dallas, Texas.

The warrant was confirmed to be active. CBP officers turned the man over to Maverick County Sheriff’s Office to await criminal proceedings.

Criminal charges are merely allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
