CEDAR FALLS – The UNI women’s basketball team has made a second offseason addition to their roster.
The Panthers welcome redshirt-freshman guard Ellie Foster to the UNI women’s basketball program after two years with UW-Green Bay. “We are so excited to add another local standout with the addition of Ellie to our Panther family,” said Head Coach Tanya Warren. “We watched her a lot back in high school and think she is a great fit for how we like to play. She’s strong in transition and will be a great addition to our perimeter group.”
Foster is a local product as a Dike, Iowa native and played four years for Dike-New Hartford High School. While with the Wolverines under Head Coach Bruce Dall Foster was a three-time NICL Conference First-Team Selection, a two-time Conference MVP
and was named to the All District and All Region squads three times.
Foster was also recognized by Iowa sportswriters and Iowa high school coaches. Foster was a Second Team member of the Iowa Print Sports All-State squads in 2018 and 2019 and part of the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-State Third Team in 2018 and the All-State First-Team in 2019.
Foster is a 5’10” guard with four years of eligibility left after red-shirting the 2021-2022 season.
