CORALVILLE, IOWA – James Clyde Howell was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 11:07 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. Howell was 70 years old at the time of his death.
Howell had been serving a life sentence for the crimes of Kidnapping 1st Degree and other charges from Polk County. His sentence began on May 31, 1989.
