Iowans call out Rep. Ashley Hinson for opposition to the American Rescue Plan

Ashley Hinson

CENTRAL CITY, IA — Iowa leaders today spoke out at a press conference at the Linn County Fairgrounds calling out Rep. Ashley Hinson for voting against the American Rescue Plan and urging her to stop saying no to Iowa’s health care. They stood in front of a mobile billboard encouraging Iowans to contact Rep. Hinson’s office and ask her to stop saying no to healthcare for Iowans.

“Rep. Hinson had a historic opportunity to deliver for the people of Iowa back in March by voting in favor of the American Rescue Plan, but she instead wholeheartedly opposed this landmark piece of legislation,” said Stacey Walker, Linn County Supervisor. “We need someone who is going to deliver on the issues that matter most, and we will not stop calling on Rep. Hinson to do the right thing.”

“When you’re elected to Congress, you’re expected to fight for the people you represent — but it’s clear that Rep. Hinson has no interest in doing so,” said Laura Packard, Executive Director of Health Care Voter. “These issues are too important to ignore — Rep. Hinson needs to stop saying no to Iowans’ health care.”

“Working families in Iowa need elected officials who are actually going to stand up for them and actually get things done,” said Pete Hird, Secretary-Treasurer of the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. “Unfortunately, Rep. Hinson has continually shown no interest in working for us, but we will continue to fight to ensure the needs of Iowans’ are met.”

Now Iowans against Republicans? Tell the truth and say Democrats against Iowa voters who put in office.

Twit in action. Stop the madness. Do what’s right!

“Stop the madness. Do what’s right!”

Don’t vote Democrat!

Notice they had to go back to March to find some thing to complain about.

She voted NO on the “American Rescue Plan”, which the Democrats say is,”saying no to healthcare for Iowans.”.

Well, how about what she IS saying NO TO.

(Text from H.R.1319) The American Rescue Plan

NOTHING ABOUT HEALTHCARE IN THIS PART!

STILL NOTHING ABOUT HEALTHCARE!

Maybe go read the whole bloated thing, then comment.

Classic Trump bimbo. Semi-pretty airhead hoping to land a rich husband by spewing crap she thinks he’d like to hear.

Sounds like AOC except her brother wasn’t rich

Another great advertisement for the 2nd amendment. A well armed citizenry is one of the greatest deterrents to tyranny.

Wouldn’t be nice if each story was required by law to present the position of both sides and include all supportive documents so citizens can form their own informed opinion.

It would be nice but the Republicans got rid of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. Reagan didn’t like it because it meant that lying was wrong. Republicans didn’t like it because it meant their lying was wrong.

We need a doctrine to do what’s right? Hmm, seems your part of the problem.

Not entirely true. The editorial and personal attack portions were continued until 2000 when Clinton was president but weren’t appealed and finally removed until 2011 during Obamas rule. So, you just proved what a true dem you are. Maybe one of the best spinners I’ve seen on here.

As bad as Carter was, at least he was honest.

Suuuure, and his brother could make good beer.
