Beverly J. Walk, 88, of Mason City, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Good Shepherd Health Care Center in Mason City with her beloved husband, Everett, by her side, hand in hand.
A Funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City with Mike Meyers officiating. Committal services will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Beverly’s family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to her service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Beverly’s name in care of her family.
The daughter of Melvin and Alma (Sampson) Campbell, Beverly Jean was born June 2, 1932 in Mason City. She attended and graduated from Mason City High School among the class of 1950.
Following high school Beverly was a home maker until being united in marriage to Everett Walk on May 31, 1968 after meeting one another at the Clearview Roller Rink in Clear Lake. Together the couple would be blessed with 53 years of marriage.
Throughout the years Beverly and Everett loved spending time with children and grandchildren at their cabin on Madison Lake, Minnesota. Many fun times and memories were made with all, fishing, visiting with friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
Beverly was a devoted and faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Mason City and regularly gave her time in the kitchen, volunteering after Sunday services, funeral services and Women’s Lunches.
Countless memories were made with her children and grandchildren visiting thrift stores and garage sales every Friday, lunches and activities at the Senior Center.
Those grateful in sharing in her life are her beloved husband, Everett Walk; children, Marsha Heston, Teri (Ron) Gustin, Brad (Dawn) Lunning, and Scott (Linda) Lunning; grandchildren, Jay (Becca), Josh (Nancy), Shayne (Kristy), Tiffany (Jesse), Heidi (Mike), Ronnie, Eric (Kerri), Chad, Matt, Brad, Jr. (Dana), Jamie (Kara), Debbie, and Diane (Chris); great grandchildren, Nyah, Wyatt, Leah, Samantha, Kiarra, Danika, Kaylee, Ayla, Sadie, Luke, Jakob, Adam, Tanis, Kiara, Aiden, Ethan, Connor, Michael, Jonathan, Thomas; sister in law, Pat Campbell; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Alma; father and mother in law, Edwin and Jennie Walk; sons, Jeff and Tom Walk; sister, Ardith (Don) Wood; brother, Gary Campbell; brothers in law, Earl, Dellis, Eugene (Judy), and Cecil Walk; sister in law, Lucille (Ray) Miller.
