DES MOINES – Today, Gov. Reynolds signed the following bills into law:
HF200: An act relating to the military code and duty performed by a member of the United States Coast Guard.
HF235: An act relating to service charges on consumer credit transactions.
HF232: An act relating to the crime of disorderly conduct and making penalties applicable.
SF240: An act relating to the creation, administration, and termination of custodial trusts.
SF239: An act relating to proper parties in causes of actions following the death of persons entitled or liable to such causes of actions and including applicability provis
SF231: An act regarding driving privileges of persons issued a special minor’s driver’s license, and making penalties applicable.
SF173: An act relating to trusts, including requirements for certifications of trust and the general order of abatement.
SF343: An act relating to authorized access to certain confidential records by employees of the Department of Corrections, a judicial district Department of Correctional Services, and the Board of Parole.
SF285: An act relating to suspension of a student’s participation in the All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship program.
SF130: An act relating to a temporary exception to a limitation compensation for a member of a board of directors of a school corporation, and including effective date provisions.
HF386: An act striking certain reporting requirements related to non profit school organizations established by school districts.
HF308: An act relating to eligibility requirements for students under the senior year plus program and including effective date and applicability provisions.
HF283: An act creating the criminal offense of defrauding a drug or alcohol test and providing penalties.
HF231: An act relating to a special sentence for sexual abuse committed during a burglary.
SF314: An act relating to approval of executive branch employee travel claims.
HF418: An act relating to property tax levies, exemptions, classifications, assessment limitations, and administration, and including effective date and applicability provisions.
SF413: An act relating to the conduct of elections, including absentee ballots and voter list maintenance activities, making penalties applicative, including effective date and applicability provisions.
Gov. Reynolds released the following statement on S.F. 413:
“It’s our duty and responsibility to protect the integrity of every election. This legislation strengthens uniformity by providing Iowa’s election officials with consistent parameters for Election Day, absentee voting, database maintenance, as well as a clear appeals process for local county auditors. All of these additional steps promote more transparency and accountability, giving Iowans even greater confidence to cast their ballot.”
Give me one logical (objective) reason this bill is wrong. Other than the fact that you people are so bored that you will pick on anything to pass the time.

You Jim Crow (A group of Crows is called “Murder”) Republicans have to go. You are racist and prejudice. There has been nothing wrong with our voting system for many of years. Then all of the sudden the Republicans got a corn cob stuck up their behind, and want to (murder) change it to make it harder for the elderly, minorities, military, and people living overseas. This decision should not be up to any of the parties, but up to the people of the state.
It is time for the Stacey Abrams’ and minorities of Iowa to fight back, and give it their all.

The House pushed through illegally. Congress gets the right to say when, as in day, to vote. It is up to the States to say how.
Have you seen the last minute changes that the Democrats made, without the state legislatures, that were illegal? Like going against state law in Pennsylvania and counting votes that came in several days after the election.

Speaking of cheating, read H.R.1. It is hilarious.
It forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. If you go to a DMV or apply for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attend a public college you will be automatically registered.
Noncitizens are supposed to identify themselves and opt out, but there are no penalties if they don’t.
H.R.1 also bans state voter ID requirements. Anyone can show up and vote on election day, don’t have to be registered, just have to sign a paper that states they are a legal voter(pole sitters are not allowed to check).
HR 1 compels states to send out absentee or mail-in ballots universally, also to count them up to 10 days after election.
This bill would legalize ballot harvesting. A political organization pays a worker to walk through housing projects and neighborhoods, knock on doors, offer to help residents fill out the ballots they’ve received in the mail, and then submit the piles of completed ballots. Many states are trying to stop this. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
The authors of the Constitution worried that Congress would try to seize control of presidential selection using dirty tricks like those in HR 1. That’s why they acted to “to take the business as far as possible out of their hands,” according to Charles Pinckney, a framer from South Carolina.
Congress, said Pinckney, “had no right to meddle” in it. The framers provided in Article II, Sec. 1 that only state legislatures would have the power to determine how the president is chosen. No national rules.
HR 1 also asserts Congress has the authority to make the District of Columbia into the 51st state. Article IV States, Citizenship, New States, Section 3
The Admissions Clause
“New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.”
It would take a constitutional amendment can change the status or parameters of the district.
H.R.1 has in it a provision that would make it mandatory for tax-exempt organizations to disclose their donors.
