NIACC’s Tobin earns ICCAC volleyball player of the week honor

MASON CITY – NIACC freshman outside hitter Grace Tobin was selected as the ICCAC Division II offensive volleyball player of the week for the week of Feb. 8-14.

Tobin, who is from Mason City, is the second NIACC player to earn the league’s weekly award. NIACC’s Becca Steffen earned the award for the week of Jan. 15-31.

During the week of Feb. 8-14, Tobin collected 52 kills as the Lady Trojans topped Iowa Lakes and Southeastern and fell to DMACC.

Against Southeastern, Tobin recorded 26 kills with 15 digs, a career-high five assists and two blocks. It was the third time this season that Tobin recorded at least 20 kills in a match.

Tobin currently ranks fourth in ICCAC Division II with 122 kills.
