Thugs declaring “white power” disrupt Iowa legislators’ online forum

DES MOINES – Thugs declaring “white power,” the “N-word” and other hateful exultations disrupted a recent online forum being held by Iowa legislators.

Iowa Rep.Marti Anderson

According to Iowa Rep. Marti Anderson, “On Saturday I held a Zoom Legislative Forum with State Reps. Ako Abdul-Samad and Jo Oldson, and Senator Janet Petersen. We wanted to hear from and take questions from constituents. The virtual meeting was abruptly interrupted 5X with racial and sexist slurs and declarations of “white power.” The hackers never showed their faces. We shut them out and stopped letting people in. I am disgusted by the language used to hurt us and the hate.”

According to Black Iowa News, the online forum turned nasty when unknown thugs signed on and began to spew racist hate.

“N-word, N-word. You (expletive deleted) N-word. You (expletive deleted) N-word,” a troll said on the call. “N-word. I hate N-words,” the troll said. “Kill all the N-words. White power. White power. Kill all the N-words.”
