Gov. Reynolds signs new proclamation modifying public health measures

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds

DES MOINES – Today, Gov. Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that modifies existing public health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The proclamation continues to require that when people are in an indoor public space, and unable to social distance for 15 minutes or longer, masks are required to be worn. The same requirements apply to visitors and employees inside most State buildings. Additional mask requirements are imposed for certain specific establishments or gatherings.

The proclamation also continues to limit indoor social, community, business, or leisure gatherings or events to no more than 15 people. This includes wedding and funeral receptions, festivals, and conventions. Outdoor gatherings continue to be limited to no more than 30 people.  These new measures take effect on December 10 and continue through December 16, 2020.

For high school-sponsored events, the proclamation permits two spectators for each high school athlete, performer, competitor, or staff member participating in the gathering and now includes cheerleaders and band members. The same is true for other sporting and recreational events, including youth and adult sporting events, which can now resume. These new measures take effect on December 10 and continue through December 16, 2020.

The remainder of the proclamation is effective immediately and continues to expire on January 8, 2021.

The full proclamation can be found online here.

Biggest magic show on earth, what a hoax.

KIMT just stop reporting the death tolls. It’s has to be close 4,000 by now. And the feds are now saying the toll will be 3,000 a day nation wide for the next 2-3 months. Or 180,000-270,000 by March. Which is WHEN the vaccine will become available to the general public. What going to happen? Iowa will have to completely shutdown! It will happen. If Georgia election flips the senate…there is a very good chance of several stimulus checks going out to those in dire need. Those against this will LOSE. We Win! We’re getting the money!!!! So suck an egg silly bastards. YOU WILL LOSE! Coronie checks are coming.

1) People first 2) Money second. As for those who put money first? We’re coming for yours…nothing you can do. Because your too dumb to see where this is going. Going to rip out that greedy little heart of yours. Your authority is toast! You failed. The more you stir up this sh!t pot the worst it going to get. All those nickels and dimes those greedy bankers have been taking from people since the 90’s are going back to the people + interest! You can look at it any way you want. The money flowing this way, not that way sucker.

And the first vaccine needs to go to the hospital’s staff as well as nursing homes. Not the firefighters and police. They can wait for the next batch. They’re the strongest group of the two. Opening back up anything is going backwards. You’re heading into the pandemic darkest days that lie ahead. Whatever the death toll (?) it is going to double. Unemployment will hit a all time record high in the state. But rest assured the money will start rolling in for Iowans during their bleakest hour. At this point any decisions the Governor makes won’t really carry a lot of weight. She has always guided her decisions based on the economy first. Being told by dumbasses who still think they’re right. So, it’s not her fault.

It’s her fault for following the dumbasses. She made her choice. And just where is this money going to come from that is going to roll into Iowa?! Sure ain’t going to be from Republicons who give only to the rich. Us poor people need the help to pay rent, utilities, and food. And costs while being ill with Covid.

its been working so why lift it now?? keep it in effect for another month

Modifying from masking in places of 25 people now to 15 people. It was needed. Masks should be worn in public even if there are only 2 people in a building, imho.
