Iowa corrections says inmate decked officer at Anamosa State Penitentiary

Anamosa State Penitentiary
ANAMOSA – A correctional officer was assaulted by an inmate Sunday at the Anamosa State Penitentiary.

A correctional officer was working at his post in a special needs unit at the prison at approximately 2:51 PM Sunday when an inmate approached him and used a closed-fist strike to hit the officer once in the face. Additional staff arrived within moments and the inmate listened to staff directives, which resolved the incident.

The staff member was treated at the local hospital and returned to work later that night. The inmate was not injured in the incident.

This incident remains under investigation.

Does it make the story more dramatic/sensational if one says “decked”, instead of hit. So much for copy and paste.

The Guard probably had it coming!

It’s covid madness. Causing people nationwide to be overly piss offed. Going funny in the head. Prisoners could be doomed. Of the 50 million vaccine doses that America gets states are getting very little of it. So, this first batch coming let’s say Iowa gets 26,000 doses. It takes two shots, 6 weeks apart, per person. Does this mean than just 13,000 at first. Or give only 26,000 at once with the second ‘shot’ on the way. All should go towards Heath care workers and a few high officials. All the states are rolling out the same scenario. The military and high government officials will get the bulk. So get in line. May Day for most of the general population. Places in California you can’t go for a walk outside. Get arrested. Things go bad and you end up in prison. Then you’ll be doomed too.
