College Football: Iowa State defeats Texas to remain in first place in Big 12 Conference, 23-20

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Iowa State defeated Texas in a road game Saturday to remain in first place in Big 12 Conference, 23-20.

No. 15 Iowa (7-2, 7-1) had just enough to hold off No. 20 Texas’s final drive of the game to hold on for the win. ISU QB Brock Purdy completed 25 of 36 for 312 yards and a touchdown. Breece Hall scored the go-ahead touchdown in the final two minutes of the game to complete Iowa State’s 10-0 fourth quarter over Texas and complete the victory.

Iowa State faces West Virginia in Ames on Dec. 5 to finish the regular season.  A win puts Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship game.
