Gallup Poll: 56% of U.S. voters say Trump does not deserve reelection

President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new Gallup poll says the majority of U.S. registered voters, 56%, believe President Donald Trump does not deserve to be reelected, while 43% say he does.

Results for this Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted Sept. 30-Oct. 15, 2020, with a random sample of 1,035 adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

Donald Trump may be able to right this ship during a Presidential debate tonight against his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden.  Trump, in recent days, has called for federal investigations and arrests of his top political opponents as he scours the country holding rallies.

Congress fared even worse than Donald Trump. Gallup claims 68% of voters say “most members of Congress” do not deserve reelection. 60%, however, believe their personal House representative does deserve it

The 2020 election is underway and culminates on November 3, when voting is stopped and the ballots are rounded up and counted.
